For Issues with @education mail not received being into Gmail

The Department have actively stopped the legacy email system protocol (POP3) due to immediate threats/attacks without warning or communication to schools or Technicians.

One easy option to work around this and to continue receiving Education emails in your Collingwood Gmail, is to forward your @education.vic.gov.au emails to your @collingwood.vic.edu.au (Gmail) address.

Browse to https://outlook.office365.com

  •           Sign into Office – Click on “Settings” cog.  

  •           Click on “View all Outlook settings”.

  •           Under “Mail” and “Forwarding”.

  •           Click on the check box for “Enable forwarding”.

  •           Enter your @collingwood.vic.edu.au email address into the “Forward my email to:” text box and check “Keep a copy of forwarded messages”. Then be sure to Click Save (Bottom Corner)

 

 

This will forward all education emails to your gmail account.

If you wish to delete the old education mail settings in gmail to stop error messages appearing in gmail then click on Settings Cog,  and click on View all Settings

Then under Accounts and Import -> Check mail from other accounts -> @education.vic.gov.au -> Click on Delete then OK. The education account should then disappear.
